Do you know why you put up Christmas tree, in the first place?

Let us teach our children (even the OLD ones) the old meaning of Christmas. The meaning that nowadays people have forgotten. We have these symbolisms that reminds us the Christmas season but do we really know everything about them?    The Christmas Tree what does it stand for? Teach the children that the pure green color of the stately fir tree remains green all year round, depicting the everlasting hope of mankind, all the needles point heavenward, making it a symbol of man's thoughts turning toward heaven. The star --- what is it about? Teach the children that the star was the heavenly sign of promises long ago. God promised a Savior for the world, and the star was the sign of fulfillment of His promise. And the candle? Why do we bring out candles? Teach the children that the candle symbolizes that Christ is the light of the world, and when we see this great light we are reminded of Him who displaces the darkness. The wreath --- why do we bring out wreaths? Teach the children that the wreath symbolizes the real nature of love. Real love never ceases. Love is one continuous round of affection. Can the holly leaf mean anything at all? What does the holly leaf stand for? Teach the children that the holly plant represents immortality. It represents the crown of thorns worn by our Savior. The red holly berries represent the blood shed by Him.    The gifts we give --- what is that about? Teach the children that the gifts we give stand for the gift of God to us. God so loved the world that he gave his begotten son. When we give gifts to each other we remind ourselves to thank God for His unspeakable gift. And what do candy canes represent? Teach the children that the candy cane represents the shepherds' crook. The crook on the staff is what helps to bring back strayed sheep to the flock. The candy cane is the symbol that we are our brother's keeper What are angels supposed to remind us of? Teach the children that it was the angels that heralded in the glorious news of the Savior's birth. The angels tell us to wake from our sleep because a Saviour is born. They call us “O Come let us adore Him What do bells means? Teach the children that as the lost sheep are found by the sound of the bell, it should ring mankind to the fold. The bell symbolizes our hearing of His call and our return of our lives to Him. Having taught the old and true meaning of Christmas, I wish a BLESSED Christmas to everyone! that's what it's all about.

feelin' the Christmas season?
Are you feeling the Holidays spirit? eh the happy vacation? Me, yah-hoo! 1. dlsu BS group get together @ g4 - ate at pizza hut for FREE! thanks to bry  - missed happy feet coz I came late,, boohoo  - fireworks display @ g4, bout 7:30pm  stunning! - got a photo card from thoughtful ate sheryl  - despedida for bry who'll most probably continue his studies in the US the INSTANT birthday boy just for the free sundae. san ka pa? - with nay (kamz), iris, dys, marco and three kids (andrew's bro, shane and wapo) - webcam voice conference with patty from canada - long distance call from US with allan - aww, missed them all so much - part two of osh get together will be (I hope) on jan.2. swim! 3. phil.madrigal singers @ greenbelt, plus fireworks display - two in a row! - i have loved acapella carols and any kind of music in tune since our carol fest days in high school. miss those days.. hark how the bells, sweet silver bells... ding dong diiiiing4. happy feet, finally! - they were insanely cute! i would liberally choke those who'd say happy feet is corny! (haha, joke) - a quick trivia: The late Steve Irwin (crocodile hunter) voices an Aussie elephant seal in the movie! visit happyfeetmovie.com to see penguins at zoo live!  now i know what toy i want for Christmas Lovelace's sensible quote: Maybe if we can learn to live together, and everybody follows his own groove, maybe we can all come together and listen to our small Antarctic brothers, and make a groovy planet of love. Say it with me!6. course card day, aww - i won't ruin my happy entry for elaborating this one. - seems arayt, i guess. my usual palubag-loob, "meron pang next term".  try na lang a happy feet! 7. The Nativity Story - contrary to movie critics who gave failing grades, I would give it an A+ - i'm not being so religious or something, or maybe neglecting the movie as a "masterpiece", but i tell you, the movie is so natural. The somewhat boring setting / lighting etc they are criticizing is actually it's STYYYYLE. - for me maybe the only thing I could comment on is regarding the lackness of reaction of Mary when she found out she's pregnant. I dunno, but I think, more emotion should be put into it. Won't you be suuuuper shocked when an angel [woah] tells you you're preggy? hay.  mejo kilig ako sa kanila. love story daw ba!  look at his eyes... joseph loves mary. yihee! hahaha!  the dramatic starlight. I was almost teary eyed especially when the wise men came saying their lines.

Please pray for my dad na makauwi siya before (this year's, haha) Christmas. He went to canada for a conference. And one-way ticket lang ang nakuha niya. Fully-booked na raw kasi ang december. Mag-cha-chance passenger na lang siya kaya please please pray na makauwi talaga siya, kundi, next year na. Pinaka-late na raw ang march. Ansaya-saya last weekend! Nakakalungkot lang kasi i missed the church service sa clsf. Saturday and sunday kasi kami nag-community service sa Alban Foundation Center in Fairview. Mga nangyari at natutunan: 1. nakipagkulitan sa mga malilikot at friendly na mga bata 2. sanay ang mga bata sa bisita, new faces, strangers tulad namin 3. mahilig sila sumampa sa likod namin. well, ako ndi masyado (baka raw magkalas-kalas), pero sila JM, cris at jeremy? nakuuu.. tatlo-tatlo ang nagkakasakitan para mabuhat lang! 4. inarbor ni eric (the sweet kid, bespren ni jeremy) ung genuine canada keychain ni jeremy only to find out next day na pinang-trade din niya sa text (cards) sa kalaro. hahah! 5. nagpa-beads kami sa kanila [trademark? haha]. sinama namin pati ung ibang di namin (kumbaga) ka-grupo.. ung blockmates ni LJ at ung magboypren. mukhang natuwa naman silang mga bata.. maraming nag-maximize ng pagkakataong mangupit este maguwi ng beads kung di pa nila natatapos gawin. tsk3. pero ok lng, para sa kanila nmn un e. 6. Pasalubong: Koko Crunch cereal, fresh milk at pancake mix 7. umiyak pa si sweet eric nung paalis nkme [for lunch,kala nia di nkme babalik] 8. Nagtupi kami ng mga clothes [karamihan mapanghi hihii] kasi pagdating namin e general cleaning [of the house] sila. Tumulong kami. Un lng ang trabaho! Da rest e tambay, upo, bonding, laro at interaction with kids na!

Nagpasama ako kei juan bumili ng beads sa mapanganib na quiapo. Nagpa-craft kasi ako sa mga bata (50 sila) sa sunday school. Mukhang nag-enjoy naman sila lahat, mapa-girl o boy man. The next sunday nakita ko ung ibang mga bata na suot-suot pa rin ang mga ginawa nila. saya noh? Ako rin gumawa ng dalawa. One as thank-you-gift for juan, and the other one na hiningi ni do. =P Binalikan ulit ng magnanakaw ang bahay namin sa laguna. =c Mga nanakaw? Lahat ng kaldero't kawali at screen door. ung BUONG screen door mismo. Thank God at dirty kitchen lang sa likod ung napasok. Hay sa wakas, natapos na ang mga exams this week. Kung gano ka-ok ang GRAPTHE exam ko, e ganun naman kaLUBOG ang LIMOBAP! Kaya naman dinaan na lang namin sa Kenny Rogers after class.. hahaha! One more exam to go next week!  Pati ung relstri movie evaluation namin ng The Prestige e ayos na! Maganda ung movie pero mas maganda ung powerpoint namin! wahahahaa! joke. =P Nitong nakaraang linggo, anniversary ng church namin ( CLSF). At marami dyan ang inasahan kong pumunta, pero hindi nakarating. [oo nagpaparinig ako,bleh] Naligaw daw eh. hehehe tsk3. sayang.. nag-back-up (lipsynch hahaha) pa naman ako..   =========== Ang osh naman, umaariba ng hataw sa balitaktakan! (sa mails) Kwentong AUSCZTHEHGZ vol. 1 Habang busy sa pagaaral si CANDICE R. sa up manila kung saan hinabol ni JULIUS D. ang kanyang math 11 para grumaduate, ay puspusan naman ang pag-aaral ni PATRICIA T. sa pagnunursing nya sa canada, habang hinihintay pa ang sagot ni JEZREEL P. kung pupunta nga sya sa nasabing bansa. sa kabilang dako, pa-outing-outing na lang si KAMILE D. na ibinalitang plakda raw sa inuman si MARCO S. kay ALLAN A. na seryosong kinikilig kay JAMIE B. (wag kayo kumontra ako author neto) na maaring maging ina ng anak nyang si NICOLE B. na hanggang ngayon ay wala silang balita. and speaking of anak, hanggang ngayon ay inaabangan pa rin ang sagot ni EMERSON G. sa mga bulung-bulungang may anak na raw sya. kaya't puspusan ang pagpapaalala ni IRIS M. sa kanilang lahat na wag tularan ang mga ganyang bagay. habang hinihintay pa rin ang kumento ni SANDER B. sa mga nasusulat na kahibangan sa itaas! .allan

Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your
forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance.
We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done.
We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed
our values.
We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.
We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.
We have killed our unborn and called it choice.
We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.
We have neglected to discipline our children and
called it building self esteem.
We have abused power and called it politics.
We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.
We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our
forefathers and called it enlightenment.
Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today
cleanse us from every sin and set us free.
